RBA Labour Policy

At Afeef International, our commitment to ethical recruitment practices and the well-being of workers is grounded in the principles of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct. We adhere to the highest labor standards, ensuring that our operations reflect respect for human rights, dignity, and fairness. Below are the key aspects of our labor policy:

1. Prohibition of Forced Labor

We strictly enforce a zero-tolerance policy against forced labor. All employment facilitated by Afeef International is entirely voluntary. Workers retain the freedom to terminate their employment with reasonable notice. We ensure that workers’ passports, permits, and personal documents remain in their possession, eliminating any form of coercion, bonded labor, or human trafficking.

2. Young Workers & Interns

Afeef International is dedicated to protecting the rights of young workers and interns by providing safe and supportive environments. We adhere to legal age requirements, recruiting individuals 18 years or older for international placements. For local roles, individuals aged 16-17 may be considered for non-hazardous tasks in compliance with applicable laws. Internships are designed for meaningful skill development and are governed by transparent agreements.

3. Working Hours

We ensure that workers placed by Afeef International have fair and lawful work schedules. Standard working hours do not exceed 48 hours per week, and any overtime is voluntary and compensated at premium rates. Workers are entitled to rest breaks and at least one day off every seven days to promote their well-being.

4. Wages & Benefits

Fair compensation is a cornerstone of our policy. We ensure that all workers receive wages that meet or exceed the legal minimum standards of their host country. Salaries are paid on time with detailed pay slips, and workers receive benefits such as health insurance, paid leave, and retirement contributions where applicable. Wage discrimination or unjust deductions are strictly prohibited.

5. Non-Discrimination & Humane Treatment

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination based on race, religion, gender, age, disability, or other characteristics. Workers are treated with dignity and respect, with strict prohibitions against harassment, abuse, or coercion. Our aim is to foster inclusive workplaces that uphold fairness and equality.

6. Sexual Discrimination

Afeef International is committed to creating a workplace free from sexual harassment and gender-based discrimination. Workers are guaranteed equal pay for equal work and are protected against unwelcome advances, inappropriate behavior, and gender inequality. Clear reporting mechanisms ensure that any incidents are addressed promptly and confidentially.

7. Freedom of Association & Collective Bargaining

Workers have the right to form and join labor unions or other associations of their choice without fear of retaliation. We support collective bargaining efforts to negotiate wages, benefits, and working conditions in good faith. In jurisdictions where such rights are restricted, we advocate for alternative lawful mechanisms for worker representation.

Afeef International’s RBA Labor Policy reflects our unwavering commitment to ethical labor practices, prioritizing the rights, dignity, and well-being of all workers. By adhering to these principles, we not only meet international standards but also foster an environment of fairness, respect, and mutual growth. Our dedication to these values ensures a sustainable and transparent recruitment process, benefitting workers, clients, and the global community alike.
